Welcome to Unstoppables. This isn't my first attempt at a novel, nor is it the longest, but it's the one I'm the happiest with, and I hope you, the reader is happy as well.
The back story to Unstoppables is simple. It originally started as a Harry Potter fanfiction, but when it came to bringing those characters into the story, it started taking away from my trio, the Unstoppables, hence, this story was born. This story was suppose to follow the fanfiction, but that didn't work out so hot. The Unstoppables took a new spin and direction, and went from the happy carefree fanfiction to the dark story that it started to become. I apologize for the fluff, because I know there's a lot of it. This version is the unedited version still. This story was written during NaNoWriMo(National Novel Writing Month), so I needed 50,000 words before the month was through, so there was a lot of fluff, rather then real plot.
Now, if you're still reading this, Unstoppables is a story about friendship. Corny, I know, but it works well, as there's plenty of subplotting going on and such. The three main characters, Mirage, Queenie and Chrysalis are a strange trio, brought together by fate, and so extremely powerful because of their different mix of magical properties. But being so powerful, doesn't always make you happy. Together they face many trials, on both their friendship with each other, friendships outside their small circle, and just with life itself as they battle to survive in a dying world, and battle to try to save that dying world.
One last note, before I let you get to reading. Chapters are displayed two to a page. Chapter one in beneath this entry, and on the next page is chapter two and three, and so on. The link to the most recently added chapter is going to be at the end of this entry, so people who have already read the current chapters, can keep up without a lot of flipping through pages.
Enough babbling now, and I hope you enjoy the story!

Delivered On The Wings Of Dragons

“We’re going where?!” Queenie yelled at her friend who was sitting across from here.
“Shut up!” Chrysalis shouted back before sinking back into her seat.
The three teenaged girls, Queenie, Chrysalis and Mirage, sat together in a pub in Transylvania waiting patiently for their food to arrive. As they had made their way to Transylvania, Chrysalis had become more and more on edge even though Transylvania was her home.
“Chrys, why are you so edgy? You’re almost home now.”
“I know, but people will recognize me, and well, I can’t let people recognize me.” she said softly, pulling the hood of her midnight blue cloak over her face and sinking into her chair a bit more.
Mirage looked at her friend worried, but Queenie was suspicious.
“Chrysalis, you’re not a fugitive in your own home are you?”
“No, not a fugitive, but, well, I don’t know. Just, lets not talk about me please.”
“If you’re not a fugitive, then why are you acting so scared?”
“Queenie, leave her alone.” Mirage interjected. “The sooner out food comes, the sooner we can get out of here and on to the castle.”
“A vampire’s castle might I add.”
“Queenie, don’t make me hex you!” the young enchantress said angrily. “You are a shape shifter Queenie, which means you have vampire blood. You have nothing to worry about, I promise. Besides, Chrysalis knows people there, so none of us are going to get hurt, understand?”
Queenie nodded and sat back in her seat. Mirage looked over at her friend whose face was almost entirely hidden. Chrysalis was half genie half pixie, giving her eternal life, so Mirage was left to wonder why her friend was so scared, especially when she was back home. She didn’t know much about Chrysalis, and if it was something big, she knew that she would probably never know.
All of a sudden, Chrysalis sat up straight, her hood falling off revealing her pale face a bright hazel eyes, which were now full of fear.
“Oh no. That’s not a good feeling.” She said shortly before disappearing from her seat altogether.
Mirage and Queenie exchanged looks but weren’t to worried. Chrysalis had a bad habit of randomly disappearing just like Queenie had a bad habit of shifting into a black cat. When their food came ten minutes later, Chrysalis still hadn’t re-appeared.
“Maybe we should open the mind waves. She might be trying to reach us telepathically.”
“Good idea Queenie.”
The second the two girls opened up their mind waves to messages, they were bombarded by frantic messages from Chrysalis. Neither girl made much sense of what Chrysalis was trying to say, but Mirage still reassured her that they knew where she was, and the messages from Chrysalis became silent.
“You know where she is?” Queenie asked Mirage skeptically.
“No, but it shouldn’t be to hard to find her.”
“What makes you think that? I got absolutely nothing out of what she was trying to say! She was talking to fast, and I’m pretty sure she was speaking in another language on top of it!”
“No, she was speaking English, but I heard her mention a lamp.”
“Someone’s got her lamp. That’s why it was so frantic and quick spoken.”
“Exactly.”
“What else did you get out of it?”
“Dark forest, village, lake, castle and school. Can you think of anything, because I sure can’t!”
“Actually, I’ve been to a place like that.”
“Where? That’s where she is, and we need to get to her now!”
“The village of Urstar. It’s got a giant lake in the middle. On one side is a boarding school for magical beings from all over the world, and on the other side is a village. Pleasant place, and very safe for the unrest that’s been around lately.”
“How would her lamp have gotten there?”
“There are tons of shops. Anything you have that goes missing usually ends up in Urstar. That’s why I went there. I lost my favourite…”
“We don’t have time for a story Queenie. We need to get find Chrysalis, she might be in trouble.” Mirage said quickly, standing up.
“But we haven’t eaten yet!” Queenie cried sadly, looking at her untouched food.
Mirage grabbed her friend’s arm and pulled her to her feet. She threw some coins on the table hoping there was enough and pulled her friend out of the pub, not letting go of her until they were completely out.
“Alright, shift into something big that can fly.”
“Like what and why?”
“Something I can ride so that we can go to Urstar of course!”
“Why do I have to be the form of transportation?”
“Because it’s faster and cheaper then anything else I can think of right now. Shift now please!”
“But I like being a cat better.” Queenie said, scowling at Mirage.
She shifted into a medium sized dragon, perfect size for her friend to ride comfortably on her back.
Someone who was standing outside the pub saw Queenie shift in amazement and looked at Mirage in awe.
“You two are Unstoppables, aren’t you?”
Mirage rolled her eyes, and pulled herself onto Queenie’s back.
“Wait!” He cried, taking a few steps towards them. “Where’s the third one, the pixie girl? Chrysalis?”
“We aren’t the Unstoppables!” Mirage snapped, and Queenie quickly, but carefully took off at an alarming speed.
Once they were up in the air, flying across the countryside, Mirage let out a grateful sigh of relief.
“That was close.”
Queenie just snorted.
“Well, it could have gotten dangerous Queenie. Who knows who that guy was. I mean, you must have seen the crazy look in his eye! But he knew Chrys. That’s really weird. I wonder if he knows her personally, or just because we’re the Unstoppables.”
They flew in silence for a few minutes, before Mirage spoke again.
“I hope it’s not to far. It’s kind of chilly up here.” She said, pulled her scarlet robe around her closer the best she could with one hand.
She hugged herself tighter to Queenie, and waited for the ride to end.
